Hywel Williams MP proposes EDM on DLA
24 January 2011
A new Early Day Motion (EDM) about the current disability living allowance consultation was tabled by Hywel Williams MP on 24 January.
EDM 1332 proposes that Government should debate concerns about the proposed reform of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), published 6 December 2010.
Early Day Motions (EDMs) are formal motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. Although few EDMs are actually debated, they can be used to draw attention to specific issues or to demonstrate the extent of parliamentary support for a particular cause. MPs sign the motion to show their support.
