Your rights at work

If you are a carer, your rights as an employee are covered by the Work and Families Act 2006, Employment Rights Act 1996 and Equality Act 2010.

Carers UK offers a helpful summary outlining your rights to:

  • request flexible working
  • time off in emergencies
  • parental leave.

… and information about looking for work, seeking support at work, flexible work and things to consider before leaving work, in addition to a wealth of other information for carers.
