Lords attack welfare reform bill
Welfare reform minister Lord Freud came under attack in the Lords during the second reading of the welfare bill, with many peers expressing serious concern at the impact of the reforms on disabled people. The planned benefit cap for those out of work was particularly criticised.

New international criteria for M.E.
In a letter to the editor, Dr John Greensmith, M.E. Community Trust, welcomes the new International Consensus Criteria for M.E. compiled by 26 experts from across the world. He also praises charity Invest in M.E. and its bid to establish a specialist centre for diagnosis, research and treatment in Norfolk.
