Health and social care bill
Consortia of GPs are given the task of commissioning the healthcare they deem appropriate for their patients in the Health and social care bill, published today. The bill also aims to make the NHS more accountable to patients and the public by establishing Healthwatch, a new independent body that will investigate complaints.
