Anger over long wait for DLA appeal
Former Defence Ministry accounts manager Helen Cross, of Gosport, Hampshire, who became ill in November last year and was diagnosed with M.E in December, has complained to her MP after being told she faces a six month wait to appeal against a decision not to allow her to claim Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

Breast implant boss jailed
Former company boss, Jean-Claude Mas, who sparked a worldwide health scare by selling substandard breast implants, which some women said caused CFS, has been jailed after not paying his bail. Mas was released from police custody on 27 January on bail of 100,000 euros (£83,000) and told not to leave France or meet former executives of his now defunct firm Poly Implant Prothese (PIP).
