NHS facing decade long savings drive
Health service managers have warned that the NHS faces a decade-long savings drive. The NHS has been told to find £20bn savings by 2015, but David Stout, NHS Confederation deputy chief executive, said, "The working assumption is that the NHS will be required to continue to produce significant savings beyond 2015. The initial £20bn is not the end game."
Running for Action for M.E.
Yaz Chaudhri, who is training to run the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for Action for M.E. to say thank you for the support the charity has given her brother, was interviewed on Radio Cumbria on Friday about what has motivated her to take up the challenge.
