AGM and Open Conference 2011

Action for M.E.’s annual general meeting and open conference will take place on Saturday 22 October 2011 at Allen & Overy, One Bishops Square, London E1 6AO.

Members will receive their invitation/booking form with their copy of InterAction, published today.

Provisional programme
Timings to be confirmed

10.30am – 12noon Annual General Meeting (Members only).
The AGM will include the election of new trustees and the Chief Executive’s annual report. A separate agenda will be distributed in advance to Members.

Light buffet lunch

1 – 2pm Benefits forum with Sue Owen, Director General, Welfare and Wellbeing, Department for Work and Pensions. Sue Owen is a senior adviser to Ministers on benefits strategy and performance; health, work and wellbeing; and disability rights. (Open to all)

Break

2.30 – 4.30pm Strategic research projects Presentations and discussion of Action for M.E.’s strategic research projects. (Open to all)

Who is it for?
Action for M.E. Members (*Supporting, Lifelong and Professional), other people with M.E., their carers and professionals. Continuous Professional Development points have been applied for.

Cost?
Members – free. Accompanying carers – free. Non-members – £15. (NB. It will not be possible for the conference organisers to reimburse travel or accommodation expenses).
