Dashboard notice for Blue Badge holders

13 May 2011

Action for M.E. has produced a dashboard notice for people with M.E. to display alongside their Blue Badge.

Unlike the Blue Badge, the notice does not have official status – but it has been produced at the request of people with M.E. who said they would find it helpful to display alongside their Badge, because they had faced hostility or disbelief when using disabled parking spaces.

The notice says: “I have a Blue Badge because I have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (M.E./ CFS). It’s a long-term fluctuating condition which affects my mobility. 250,000 men, women and children in the UK have M.E. The symptoms can be as disabling as multiple sclerosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and congestive heart failure.”

We also produce a factsheet about the Blue Badge scheme.
