Hadrian’s wall cycle ride for M.E

19 September 2011

On the weekend of 9 September, a family group, Hilary, Ella, Simon, Kate, Manjit and Jaspal from Kent, cycled 100 miles over three days along the Hadrian’s Wall cycle route. The route runs from Ravenglass (Cumbria) to Tynemouth (Tyne and Wear).

They undertook the challenge for a loved one who has had M.E. for many years. As Ella told Action for M.E., “We had a fantastic time on the trip and the weather was great too. I think everyone is a little bit weary, but we will thankfully recover soon, I just wish my Dad could too - he's had M.E. for 24 years. Hopefully the biobank research will give the doctors and researchers some clues”.

“We are overwhelmed with the amount of money we have raised, and it is still coming in, we hope it will help to make a real difference.”

So far, this committed team has managed to raise a whopping £3926 for Action for M.E. Please help them to smash their £4000 target by visiting their JustGiving page.
