'Moon walk' Southend seafront for M.E.

4 April 2011

Registration is now open for the Moonlight Colourthon in Essex. Now in its fifth year, the walking event promises to be a rainbow spectacle for all involved!

Walkers of the ‘Moonlight Colourthon’ will walk a half marathon (13.1 miles) at night and are encouraged to dress as brightly as their imagination will allow them to!

This year’s event sets off from Chalkwell Park, Essex, at 8pm on Saturday 2 July, 2011. It takes in the waterfront along Southend Seafront and Westcliff’s picturesque cliff tops, the famous pleasure pier and then travels through the exclusive Chalkwell Hall Estate, past Old Leigh Village with its quaint cottages and fisherman’s sheds.

There's also 'Sunlight Marathon' aimed at people under 16, taking place the same day from 3pm.

If you think either of the walks sound fun, please get involved and raise money for Action for M.E. through the event.

We recommend early booking to avoid disappointment.
