Action for M.E. runner hits local headlines

7 January 2012

One of Action for M.E.'s runners in the Virgin London Marathon has hit the local headlines today, raising awareness about M.E.

Phil Turner, 36, is taking on the biggest challenge of his life and running 26.2 miles despite having M.E. He says, “I want to get across to people you can have this and get some control of your life and to some extent have a normal life.”

Phil has recovered enough to consider such a physical ordeal, but is having to plan very carefully and make special allowances to fit in training around his health.
