APPG minutes for 12 July 2007

The minutes of the All Party Parliamentary Group meeting held 12 July 2007, Committee Room 17, House of Commons, are now available.

The main speaker at the event was Dr Terry Mitchell, clinical champion for M.E./CFS in East Anglia, who described the financial difficulties encountered by his local NHS service since the end of ring-fenced funding.

Sir Peter Spencer, Chief Executive, Action for M.E. said that the failure to expand specialist M.E. services across England and to prevent closures was inexcusable. Political intervention was urgently needed to protect NHS specialist services.
