Disability activists protest against Atos

Campaigners have organised a week of protest against Atos Origin beginning on Monday 9 May.

Last November, Atos was awarded a three-year contract extension by the Department for Work and Pensions to carry out Work Capability Assessments, the tests used to decide if benefit claimants are fit for work.

The Work Capability Assessment has been criticised by patient groups including Action for M.E. as not fit for purpose, particularly when it comes to fluctuating conditions such as M.E.
