Special NHS Commissioning Authority

31 October 2011

A new NHS Commissioning Board Special Health Authority, established today, aims to create a “clinically-led commissioning system that has the needs and aspirations of patients at its heart,” according to a letter by Sir David Nicholson, Chief Executive and Malcolm Grant, Chairman, of the new organisation.

Plans are subject to the passage of the Health and Social Care Bill.
