WHO anniversary and World Health Day

The World Health Organisation (WHO) was founded 7 April 1948 and introduced an annual World Health Day on 7 April from 1950.

The theme of this year’s event is antimicrobial resistance ie. policies to prevent and counter the emergence of micro-organisms which are resistant to drugs.

WHO classification ICD-10, Chapter VI: Diseases of the nervous system, item G93.3 includes postviral fatigue syndrome and benign myalgic encephomyelitis under disorders of brain.
