Factsheet on Personal Independence Payments

13 May 2011

The Government has this week published several documents - including draft regulations and assessment criteria - that further set out its proposals for replacing DLA with the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) from 2013.

Disability Alliance has produced a PIP factsheet that sets out the proposed descriptors that will measure someone’s ability to carry out 'daily living activities' or 'mobility activities' and determine whether they have a 'limited ability' or 'severely limited ability' to carry out those activities.

The factsheet also includes links to both the draft regulations and assessment briefing notes.

Disability Alliance has asked Action for M.E. and other Disability Alliance members to highlight the PIP factsheet to anyone who might find it useful.
