An M.E. Awareness Day event will take place, Saturday 12 May, on the High Street, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, 10am to 3pm, featuring a band and street performers.
The event has been organized by Ian Minty, 62, who has M.E.
“It’s something that very little is known about, even though it is a recognised condition,” he said in an interview with the Hertforshire Mercury. “It can be very debilitating – people think it is just tiredness, but it is total exhaustion. It is something that you don’t ever get over.”
Ian also hopes to raise money for Action for M.E. through the event.
