Moving M.E. doc now available on DVD

Voices from the shadows, a moving documentary about people with severe M.E., is now available to buy on DVD, priced at £6 plus postage and packing.

Filmakers Natalie Boulton and Josh Biggs say: "The film is not intended for people with M.E. but to help them educate others about the illness and the way that ignorance and trivialisation of the illness has impacted on patients, research and treatment during the last 20-30 years."

The film includes tape-recorded footage of severe M.E. patient Sophia Mirza who died in 2005. Her sister Roisin remembers Sophia in an interview in the Irish Times, adding that this film "needs to be shown to as wide an audience as possible."
