M.E. affects approximately 7,000 adults and children in Northern Ireland.
There is an M.E. clinic for adult patients at Belfast City Hospital and a London consultant visits Belfast once a month. Both have waiting lists. Unfortunately, most Health Boards in Northern Ireland have no specialist M.E. provision and local campaigners are lobbying for M.E. clinics at hospitals in Antrim, Altnagelvin, Erne, Craigavon and Daisy Hill.
Can you recommend a local service?
If you can recommend any health, welfare, social care or other support services for people with M.E. in your local area, please tell us and we will try to include it in our online directory.
