Scotland

M.E. affects over 20,000 adults and children in Scotland.

Following a Short Life Working Group report on services for CFS/ME in Scotland (2003), a Scoping Exercise was undertaken by Action for M.E. on behalf of the Scottish Government Health Directorates.

The Scottish Public Health Network then undertook a Needs Assessment of health services for people with M.E./CFS and NHS Scotland commissioned the production of a Scottish Good Practice Statement for GPs.

Action for M.E. is campaigning for these two initiatives to be taken forward through a Scottish manifesto for M.E.

The Cross Party Group on M.E. meets in the Scottish Parliament.
