If you have been getting certain benefits such as Income Support, income based Jobseekers Allowance, income related Employment and Support Allowance or Pension Credit for at least 6 months you may be able to get this loan.
It is interest free but it does need to be repaid. It can help meet the cost of things like clothing, bedding or a washing machine.
Any savings over £1,000 (or over £2,000 if you or your partner is over 60) will affect the amount of loan you can get.
