Day 1
Depart UK
Day 2
Hanoi
Depending on flight times there will be time to explore the historic capital that is Hanoi before trip briefing.
Day 3
Hanoi Mai Chau valley trek
Transfer to beautiful Hoa Binh Province, located in the mountainous area south east of Hanoi. Short trek passing through many picturesque villages and lush paddy fields to a quaint village, this will be a good start to our challenge!
Day 4
Mai Chau Ban Te Bao La Ban Buoc
Climb to the villages of Na Mo and Na meo, home to white Thai minority people. Hiking on narrow trails alongside a river and across rice terraces, bamboo gardens before arriving in Buoc village.
Day 5
Ban Buoc - Van Mai Co Luong Pu Luong Nature Reserve
Trek to the village of Van Mai. Longboat down the majestic Ma River for a picturesque boat journey of approximately 1 hour. Hike to Sai Village. Stay at a ecotourism home-stay.
Day 6
Nature reserve trek
Challenging day on an old disused unpaved French road involving some steep climbs. Round trip to a newly discovered cave protected by the Forest rangers, due to the delicate ecosystem.
Day 7
Pu Luong market trek
Challenging but glorious downhill hike this morning which takes us to the Nature Reserves only market. Climb to Hin village and our final home-stay of the trip.
Day 8
Pu luong Nature reserve - Hanoi
Early start as we trek along the ridge top of the mountain range and descend into the valley and out of the National Park. Transfer back to hustle and bustle of Hanoi and celebrations!
Day 9
Hanoi
Free to explore Hanoi and everything it has to offer before we head to the airport and our flight home.
Day 10
Hanoi UK
Arrive London.
