Researchers

Action for M.E. lobbies Government to increase funding for biomedical medical research, especially on the aetiology and pathogenesis of the illness and the search for more effective treatments.

We promote M.E.-related research through our research pages and news streams.

Funding

Action for M.E. is currently funding two pilot projects: a Biobank and National Outcomes Database.

There are plans to extend the biobank project, building on a National Disease Register set up by the Research Observatory - but please note:

We are not considering further applications at this time. We will publicise new opportunities when they arise.

M.E. research forum

We would be happy to host an online forum for M.E./CFS researchers if enough researchers register interest. (Please note that this forum would only be open to research staff at recognised academic institutions).
