Every year, amazing people wearing Action for M.E. vests take part in running and cycling events to help make what we do possible.

We’re proud to support each and every one of our event fundraisers. Take part in any of the events below and you’ll receive a free Action for M.E. running vest, a runners fundraising pack and the full support of our dedicated fundraising and communications teams to help you hit your fundraising target and share your story.

We offer places in a range of distances suitable for all experience levels, and we’re happy to offer training tips and advice on request.

Hairy Haggis Team Relay Marathon 2019 - DEADLINE 1 May 2019

The Bath half is an established road race in the stunning, national heritage city of Bath. The course is fast and flat offering a great chance for personal bests or a starting point for first time runners.

Scottish Half Marathon 2019 - DEADLINE 18 September 2019

If you’ve never run before, or this will be your 100th running event, you can’t afford to miss out on what is a ‘must-do’ running event. The route is seriously flat & rapid - so if you want to set a personal best for a half marathon then this is the event for you. Starting conveniently just outside Edinburgh, you run along the magnificent East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse.

The Ultra Challenge Series

The ultra challenge series is a series of events for fundraisers to walk, jog or run all in stunning locations and will full support from a dedicated team of guides and event staff.

Each event includes a 100KM, 50KM and 25KM route the details of which are listed below.

Isle of Wight Challenge

Walk, Jog or Run the Island’s stunning Coastal Path on the first instalment of the Ultra Challenge Series. You’ll get full support and hospitality all the way, leaving you to focus on your challenge!

Over the May Bank Holiday 3,000 intrepid adventurers will Walk, Jog, or Run an epic 100km from Capital to Coast setting out from Richmond on Thames, with full support & great hospitality all the way to the finish line.

Jurassic Coast Challenge

A Poole Harbour start, then along the spectacular Jurassic Coast, including West Bay's famour cliffs (of TV's Broadchurch fame). Cotswold Way Challenge

Over 2,000 adventurers take on the historic path from Bath to Cheltenham - starting by the magnificent Royal Crescent, and then the famous rolling hills with fantastic views towards the Severn Estuary, and idyllic villages nestling in between on an epic 100km journey - with full support and great hospitality all the way to the finish line.

It will be rewarding, fun, and absolutely achievable with your resolve and determination alongside first class support.

Peak District Challenge

This NEW event is set to welcome 3,000 adventurers into the Peak District National Park. With a Base Camp in idyllic Bakewell, that will include camping facilities & extensive hospitality services - and the 100km Challenge takes a tough figure of 8 route through Derbyshire's finest scenery. This gem in the Heart of England is an Ultra Challenge not to be missed.

Chiltern Challenge (New route for 2019!)

NEW FOR 2019! This fantastic 100km circular route will showcase the best of the Chilterns and surrounding areas. You will venture through nature reserves, under forests, along ancient footpaths and of course up some of the Chiltern's famed hills - it is a route with a huge amount of varied landscapes to amaze you.

Take on some of England's finest scenery as a Walk, Jog, or even a Run! It's up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the South Downs Way with stunning views over the sea to a Brighton mid-point. Devil's Dyke, welcome rest stops, ups & downs all lie ahead before historic Arundel comes into view after an 100km amazing journey that you'll never forget...

Thames Path Challenge

Take on the Thames Path Challenge following England's greatest river - most will be walking, many will jog, some will be running, and all will have a special reason to push themselves. Our full 100km route heads upstream from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame at 50km, then on past wonderful scenery all the way to Henley.

Trekfest 2019

Trekfest is the UK's ultimate trekking challenge. Trekfest features 2 events in 2 stunning, rugged and challenging locations each with a choice of dates and distances. Discounts and promotional opportunities are also available for corporate teams. See below for more details.

The Beacons

This is your chance to test yourself over 25KM or 50KM in the training grounds of the SAS, a truely amazing experience in ruggedly beautiful terrain.

All participants receive a full training guide, 15% discount to Go Outdoors, full support on the day and a medal, shower and hot meal to finish.

The Peaks
