Volunteering can be hugely rewarding and as the hours are often more flexible, it could help you get back into work.

As former volunteer Jane told us before she found paid employment, “Thank you so much for being so supportive and giving me the chance to get my 'work' confidence back again. I really enjoyed working for the Action for M.E. team.”

From time to time, Action for M.E. needs new volunteers to support us with ongoing work or individual projects.

Our mission is empower people with M.E. to fulfil their potential and secure the care and support they need, while working towards a greater understanding of the illness and ultimately a cure. Although a small team, Action for M.E. continually punch above our weight and achieve a great deal to improve the lives of people affected by M.E.

Amongst those in our team are our amazing volunteers with whom our organisation could not do what we do without. We have a number of opportunities for you to become a part of our work. By volunteering for us, you can enhance your skills and experiences whilst also providing crucial support to those affected by M.E. in the UK.
