“If it falls on a day the salon is open, I have my hair done on Christmas Eve. I am always the last customer of the day, just before they have a little staff party. The atmosphere is lovely, friendly and lively.”
Maria shared her festive custom in a thread on our Facebook page – and it got us thinking: what routines do you have for Christmas or New Year, or for coping with the colder winter months?
You might have a favourite food, drink or snack, or an item of clothing, that you enjoy as the nights draw in. You might have a ritual for putting the tree up, or making new year’s resolutions. Do you have a favourite book, song, carol, film or game that evokes a special memory or festive feeling? Or maybe a meditation or mantra that helps you find a moment of peace.
