Action for M.E. is delighted to announce that the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (ALLIANCE) has agreed to fund our five-year peer-mentoring project in full.
Our project is one of 23 across Scotland that will share a slice of £1.2million funding from the Transforming Self Management in Scotland Fund, administered by the ALLIANCE, to transform support for people living with long-term conditions in Scotland.
The aim of our project is to build confidence and reduce isolation by developing a sustainable, peer-mentoring, self-management support network for people affected by M.E, including carers.
This need for ongoing support and the opportunity to constructively share experiences was identified by people with M.E. who have taken part in our Living and Learning with M.E. project.
If you are interested in finding out more about the new peer-mentoring project, including how you might take part, please contact our Project Co-ordinator for Scotland, Kat Allen.
