APPG on M.E. invites MPs to learn more about M.E.
May 11, 2016
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on M.E. hosted a drop-in session today to launch its new information resource for MPs.
Supporting your constituent with M.E. features key information about M.E. and its impact, and has been produced to help MPs support and signpost those who come to them for help. In our role as Secretariat of the APPG, we will send this resource out to all MPs in due course.
15 MPs and/or their researchers were present today and Action for M.E. would like to thank everyone who wrote to their MP, encouraging them to come along to today's drop-in. We were there, along with other charity partners, to encourage MPs and peers to join the APPG, and ask them what they can do to improve the lives of people with M.E.
Following the drop-in session, the APPG on M.E. held its Annual General Meeting, where MPs will appoint new Officers to the group and discuss the APPG on M.E.'s social care inquiry, findings from which are expected to be published later this year.
