Our fundraiser of the week is Anne Roche who will be hosting a family fun day in Newton-Aycliffe this Saturday (May 18) 12pm – 5pm.
The day will host many fun activities such as face painting, Punch and Judy and balloon modelling. Half of the money raised on the day will go towards our charity. When speaking about her reasons for choosing our charity Anne tells us:
“I’m donating half the proceeds of our Family Fun Day to Action for M.E. because my son James has had M.E. since he was eight years old. I remember he used to run to the bus when he was in his teens and just collapse.
“There were lots of signs that there was something wrong but he wasn’t diagnosed until three years ago. It’s awful seeing James suffer, I myself have Fibromyalgia but James has Fibromyalgia and M.E. If the money I can raise can help him, or others with M.E. even a little bit, that would make me happy.”
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Anne for fundraising for our charity and wish her the best of luck tomorrow!
