Fundraiser of the week: cream teas by Clare
June 26, 2020
What a week it's been, with the amazing launch of DecodeME, the M.E./CFS DNA study that aims to help us understand the disease and ultimately find treatments.
As we co-lead this research, we’ll continue to be there for those of you who need information and support to tackle the stigma of M.E., and access the services that meet your needs. To do this, we rely on grants from independent trusts (apart from a small grant in Scotland, we receive no government funding at all), donations from our supporters, and our amazing fundraisers.
Today, on National Cream Tea Day, our Fundraiser of the Week is our very own Head of Communications, Clare Ogden.
"I'm proud to work for this amazing charity, and chuffed to be sharing homemade cream teas in exchange for donations, as part of Action for M.E.'s Cream Tea for M.E. fundraiser. At a time when the charity's income is taking a significant hit, I really want to do my bit, and I'm a much better baker than I am marathon runner!"
Every penny donated will help our Crisis, Advocacy and Support Service be there for even more people with M.E. in urgent need right now.
