Our fundraiser of the week is Matthew Driver, who is cycling 100 miles in the Prudential Ride London event for us on July 30 along with his girlfriend Ani.
Matthew said: “M.E. is a condition that has always had a big impact on my life as my mother is a long term sufferer. Although my mother has a severe case of the condition it doesn't affect her day to day positivity and she is still an inspirational mother and wife.
“My mother’s determination to not let the condition dictate her personality and her outlook on life has inspired me to raise funds for a brilliant charity. Action for M.E. is an organisation which continues to strive to break down barriers and stigmas surrounding M.E. and raise awareness about the condition. They also ensure sufferers and carers alike receive the necessary support.
“This is the third year in a row I'll be undertaking this challenge, I would like to thank anybody that has supported me in previous years, it truly means a great deal to me, my mother and most importantly the charity. However, this year I will be joined by my tenacious and fabulous girlfriend who will be pulling me up those hills!”
You can support Matthew via his JustGiving page.
