"Shouting about M.E. whilst jumping out of a plane for Action for M.E. because millions of people suffer in silence."
That's how this week's brilliant fundraiser of the week, Matthew Lindley, describes what he is doing for us.
"I have wanted to do something to raise money and awareness for Action for M.E. for a while now, but I just couldn't decide how," he explains. "Running a marathon seemed an impossible task! So I thought about a sponsored cycle, but not owning a bike kind of rules that out, and I sink far too easily to attempt to swim any great lengths. I'm pretty good at falling, though! If this was a TV show, you would now see a reel of me falling over chairs, tables, small animals, children, my feet, other people's feet, and nothing. So I thought: why don't I do that from a plane?"
At the end of next month, Matthew will take part in a sponsored skydive, for the "millions of people that suffer from M.E. in silence, stuck inside their homes and struggling to do everyday tasks; people like my partner."
We would like to say a huge thank you to Matthew for putting his excellent falling skills to such good use.
