Our fundraiser of the week is Rob Bold, who is taking part in a skydive to raise money for us because his wife has M.E.
Rob said: “I recently turned 40 and for my present off the wife I received a voucher for a tandem skydive. This is something I've been wanting to do for years and I now have the chance but also the chance to help other people by raising awareness and funds to help people suffering with M.E./CFS.
“You may not know but my wife Kelly was diagnosed with M.E. a few years ago and this has totally changed our lives. It was such a struggle at the beginning as there is so little known about the illness and even most doctors still don't recognise it. Action for M.E. was one of the sites that really helped Kelly at the beginning, helping us to understand the illness and what we can do to make life a bit more bearable. It is a place to go for all sorts of information on the illness, not just for sufferers but also for the friends and family to help them understand what their loved ones are going through and what they can do to help.
“The skydive is fully paid for so all your donations will be going to the charity.”
You can support Rob via his JustGiving page.
