Lucy is almost 15 years old and has M.E. She hasn't been able to go to school for nearly two years.
"Lucy has to make decisions every day as to how she will spend her limited energy," says her dad - and our fundraiser of the week - Rob Norris. "She has managed to maintain a more stable position over the last year by limiting what she does and this will give her the best chance of recovery, but there is no medicine or treatment as such, and it is a waiting game."
Rob has set himself the challenge of doing the Gullane Bay Triathlon this weekend because, he says, "raising awareness of M.E. and raising money for the great work of Action for M.E. helps keep Lucy's spirits high."
Despite setting up his JustGiving page less than two weeks ago, Rob has already raised more than £700. We say a huge thank you and best of luck as he prepares to take on a 1.5km sea swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run.
