Fundraiser of the week - Tim takes on Hadrian's Wall
September 27, 2019
We’d like to say a huge thank you to our fundraiser of the week, Tim, who is currently completing Hadrian’s Wall in order to raise funds for and support our charity. When speaking for his reasons why, Tim tells us:
“My daughter has severe M.E. and I'm walking Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for Action for M.E.’s children’s service .
“As a young person, who is very severely affected by M.E., our daughter Rosie and all of us were supported through very challenging times by Mary-Jane Willows, now Head of Children and Young People Service at Action for M.E. I am walking the length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise funds to ensure this invaluable work continues. The money raised will provide funding for additional journeys to support the most complex cases.
“When confronted by so much ignorance of the condition by the NHS and other professionals, it was so important to us to have the support of people who really understood. We don’t know what we would have done without it.”
Tim plans to raise £840 - £10 for every mile he walks. You can visit his JustGiving page here.
