For this week's fundraiser of the week we'd like to say a big thank you to our Walk with M.E. teams!
Libby Seath, Belinda Yorke, Bethany Ollier, Tiggy Snowdon, Kate Lodal, Anna Pratt, Ella Walters, Constance Wardale, Karen Roberts, Janet Holt, Michelle Ritchie, Natalie Heron, Natalie Boyte, Megan Renshaw and Emily Forward have together raised over £2,751 and the money is still coming in.
Walk with M.E. is the brainchild of Action for M.E. fundraiser Natalie and involves teams of people walking a combined total of 1 million steps in 100 days, from 1 February until M.E. Awareness Day on Saturday 12 May.
That’s an average of 10,000 steps per day, “quite achievable for most, but a lot for someone like me,” explains Natalie.
“The challenge is therefore designed to be completed in teams, which means my team mates can help me out and donate their steps to help me achieve my target.”
We at Action for M.E. have been blown away by the response, with more teams signed up than we ever expected and we’re now so close to our fundraising target. People have been sending in their step counts, and sending comments about how much they’ve enjoyed taking part and being a part of a team even if they were only able to contribute one or two steps themselves.
Don't worry if you weren't able to take part this year, Walk with M.E. will be back in 2019!
