Our fundraisers of the week are Chrissie and Clive Shaw who took part in the National Open Garden Scheme this year. This scheme gave the public unique access to over 3500 exceptional private gardens over England and Wales.
The couple chose to fundraise for our charity because their son Nick, who fell ill with M.E. when he was just 11 and has now been ill for over 20 years.
The tranquil cottage garden has been planted for year-round interest using a tapestry of foliage and flowers. It's planned with nature in mind with plenty of plants for bees, butterflies, moths and bats, and fruit and berry plants for birds.
Through their generosity, they were able to raise £158 through cake and tea sales. We’d like to say a huge thank you to them for supporting our charity.
