This Sunday will see this week's fundraisers of the week running 26 miles to support people with M.E.
Katy Fallon, Leigh Hovey, Andy Leamon, Andrea Bellanti, Fraser Claughton, George James, Phillipa Rogers-Nash, Rhianne Cooper, Rebecca May and Rosanna Chatterton Sparks have all made the decision to run the Virgin Giving London Marathon this Sunday to raise awareness of M.E. and to raise money for Action for M.E. – which will help fund the work we do to support people with M.E. throughout the UK - due to their own personal connections with the illness.
Each one of them has spent weeks and months training hard for the marathon, preparing themselves physically and mentally for the challenge ahead of them.
We’re incredibly grateful for all the pain, sweat and time they’ve dedicated to helping people affected by this horrible illness, and we know you will be too. That’s why we’d like to ask you to support them, not by giving them money, but by giving them your encouragement.
Doing so is easy. The marathon begins on Sunday morning at 10am. Before that time on Sunday – or on Saturday evening if you won’t be awake that early on Sunday – you can show your support for our marathon runners on either Facebook or Twitter in the following ways:
Twitter: You can tweet three of the marathon runners directly wishing them luck. The three runners who have Twitter accounts are Leigh Hovey (@pantscat72), Andy Leamon (@andrew_leamon) and Andrea Bellanti (@bellanti39).
Facebook: We’ll time a post to go up on Sunday morning wishing our runners good luck. You can comment on this post wishing them good luck as well.
We hope you’ll join us in encouraging our runners and making them feel appreciated on the day.
