Meet others with M.E. in Glasgow at our taster session

August 09, 2018

Want to find out more about the services and support Action for M.E. offers in Scotland - and meet others living with the condition? We are hosting a health and wellbeing taster and information session in Glasgow on three week's time, and anyone affected by M.E. is welcome.

This event takes place 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday 1 September at the citizenM Hotel, 60 Renfrew Street, Glasgow G2 3BW. Those attending will have the chance to:

  • speak to one of our Mentor M.E. project volunteers, and find out how you can get involved
  • book a confidential, one-to-one appointment with our Welfare Rights Advisor
  • find out more about our Educate M.E. project, which aims to raise awareness and understanding of M.E. in schools
  • take part in wellbeing taster sessions including an art workshop
  • meet others living with or caring for people with M.E.

Our Project Coordinator for Scotland, Theresa Burns, and our Avril McLean, Scotland Project Worker will be on hand to answer questions, and refreshments will be served that cater for gluten-free, vegetarian and dairy free diets.

"Please come along to me meet members of our team, as well as other people with similar experience, and to enjoy the taster activities," says Theresa. "We want you to leave feeling better informed about the support we can offer."

For more information, or to book your place, contact Avril by email or call on 07753 247099.
