The Disability Benefits Consortium, of which Action for M.E. is a member, is launching a report today in the Houses of Parliament which highlights the devastating impact the changes to welfare have had on disabled people.
Disabled people are struggling through increasingly complex and dysfunctional benefits system that can have a devastating impact on their wellbeing and health.
The report, 'Has welfare become unfair: The impact of welfare changes on disabled people', shows the experiences of disabled people.
We are attending the event with people with M.E.to meet with MPs and decision makers. We previously fed in to this work earlier this year and the report highlights some of the key problems people with M.E. face. Today we’re in parliament representing the voices of people with M.E. who have been negatively impacted by the benefits system.
