NICE Guideline delay – What you can do
August 24, 2021
We understand that many people in the community may be angry or anxious because of NICE’s decision to delay publication of their new guideline. We have been working with other M.E./CFS charities to ensure we have a combined approach and will be lobbying NICE directly. In the meantime, there are a couple of things you can do too:
- Sign the petition started by our friends at #MEAction UK
- Contact your MP. We have created a template letter you can use to contact your MP about the delay.
- Join the Act4ME Network. We have over 1,000 people who have committed to do one action per month. We will be using the network to lobby NICE when we know the next steps.
We will share more information on our website as soon as we can. We know that this is a difficult time for many people with M.E./CFS and we want to assure you that our team is on hand if you need someone to talk to. You can reach them at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 0117 927 9551.
