With only one week to go until the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019 we wanted to share the Big Give official video, featuring Alexander Armstrong:
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the largest online match funding campaign in the UK, running from noon on Tuesday 3 December to noon on Tuesday 10 December. During this time, every donation to us, whether £5 or £5,000 will be doubled – at no extra cost to you.
With your support, more people living with M.E. can get the support they need now; more teachers and doctors can have a better understanding of M.E.; and we can bring more scientists and more funding into biomedical research.
Last year, our generous donors helped us support people with M.E. like Alex and her family.
Alex was 9 years old when she was diagnosed with M.E. after getting a stomach bug.
“It’s difficult for me to go outside, to see my friends. M.E. holds me back, I was such an energetic person before.”
Your support last year meant that we could be there for Alex and her family and work with her school to ensure she got the right support at the right time.
“We were put in touch with Action for M.E. through Alex’s Deputy Head teacher. Without their advice, I don’t know what I would have done. They have been there for Alex and for us as a family, I’ve always felt that I could pick up the phone.” Tracey, Alex’s mum
Tracey tells us she wants to see an end to the stigma of M.E. as well as more biomedical research and better training for teachers and doctors.
By donating to the Big Give in 7 days' time, you can help more people living with M.E., like Alex and her family, get the support they need now; help teachers and doctors have a better understanding of M.E.; and help push biomedical M.E. research forward – find out more on the back.
