Our London Marathon runners raise over £22,000

May 24, 2017

The totals are now in and we can confirm that our amazing London Marathon runners have raised an incredible £22,016 for us this year!

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Michael Oates, Stephen Oates, Clare Wills, Amelia Crawford, Chris Hill, Peter Vaiders, Leigh Hovey, Louise Fuller, James Perks, Hannah Gee, Anna White, Janey Drury, Jaynie Rance and Glen Deacon. They all worked hard to prepare for and complete this year’s event and Action for M.E. have been proud to support them.

The London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet. Running 26.2 miles is a gruelling challenge, and an amazing achievement. For many the motivation was personal, taking part on behalf of people with M.E. for whom a walk to the shops or just getting out of bed can be as challenging as a long distance run.

If you or someone you know is a keen runner then you can apply to be a part of our 2018 London Marathon team by emailing our fundraising team on fundraising@actionforme.org.uk or calling us on 0117 937 6626.
