Tribunal hearing re release of PACE data starts today

April 20, 2016

The First-Tier Tribunal (Information Rights) will today hear Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)’s appeal against the Information Commissioner’s recent decision regarding the release of data from the PACE trial.

Action for M.E. recently issued a statement supporting the sharing of research data to enable replication and validation, including the data from the PACE trial. We have also written to QMUL to state our position.

With regards to the hearing taking place this week, we are not party to the proceedings and therefore will play no formal part in this appeal hearing.

The hearing is scheduled to last three days, with judgement expected to the served on the parties within four weeks.
