Volunteer with us

Much of the work that we do at Action for M.E. is made possible by our fantastic volunteers. Some have been with us for many years, while others gain valuable experience over shorter periods of time. From volunteering with our Advocacy team to supporting our administrative, communications, and fundraising teams, we strive to ensure that volunteers are involved across our work.

You will find details of all our current Volunteer vacancies at the bottom of this page.

Who can volunteer?

Anyone can volunteer for Action for M.E. Although some of our roles may require specific knowledge or experience, many of our role just require time, enthusiasm, and a commitment to Action for M.E.’s mission. Any specific knowledge or experience requirements will be clearly outlined in the role’s Volunteer Role Description.

How much time do I need to give to volunteer?

The amount of time required is different for each role. Volunteering can be hugely rewarding and the hours are more flexible than paid work. Expected time commitments will be clearly laid out in the Volunteer Role Description.

Short on time? Micro-volunteering aims to help lots of people come together to make a big difference. People with M.E., carers and supporters are working together as part of the Act4ME Network to contribute to a real and lasting change for those living with M.E./CFS throughout the UK.
