Walk with M.E.
We want to say an enormous thank you to all our 2020 Walk with M.E. fundraisers for raising awareness, walking millions of steps over 100 days, and raising £2,966 to help us support more people with M.E. in urgent need right now.
The Coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on charities and fundraising, Walk with M.E. included, and our teams did an amazing job in the face of this - we are grateful for every penny raised by Globetrotters; 17 Million and M.E.; Mum and M.E. Makes; Team Skywalker; Bath Spa Walking and Mountaineering Group; Jersey Private Patients Department; Sarah’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Team; Hazel and team; Shropshire Shufflers; Green Army; Scrambled Legs; I Love Walk and Roll and Team.
Team Me and My M.E. brought together Sarah, Timothy, Robert, Janet, Gavin, Kate, Sue, Michael, Bob and Fran, dotted around the country. They have been using their daily walks as an opportunity to add to their team step-count total – beating their increased goal of 3.5 million steps and raising a brilliant nearly £300.
Our Walk with M.E. campaign runs for 100 days each year up to 12 May. Each team aims to walk a collective total of one million steps in 100 days, and anyone is welcome to take part. Team members not able to walk any steps at all, such as those more severely affected by M.E., have inspired their teams and cheered them on to raise awareness and funds for our vital services.
If you're interested in taking on the challenge in 2021, keep an eye out later this year for more information, or contact our fundraising team.
