Annette Brooke, Liberal Democrat MP for Mid Dorset and North Poole and Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on M.E., has tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM) for debate on Action for M.E.'s Time for Action campaign.
EDM 2977 proposes: "That this House recognises the importance of Action for M.E.'s Time for Action campaign to educate policy makers, service providers and the public on myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.), a misunderstood disease which affects more than 250,000 people in the UK and leaves half of its sufferers unable to work; acknowledges a lack of understanding of M.E. that has resulted in many sufferers unable to access support; and welcomes the campaign's commitment to ending the ignorance, injustice and neglect of M.E. once and for all."
Though EDMs may not actually be debated, MPs use them to highlight particular issues and raise awarenes.
Please encourage your MP to sign up to this EDM by post or email. Search using your postcode at They work for you to find your MP and their contact details.
