Action for M.E. CEO featured as a Lockdown Legend

Action for M.E. CEO Sonya Chowdhury has been featured by JustGiving as one of their Lockdown Legends due to her fundraising efforts with Curry for M.E.
Within 24 hours of offering curry deliveries to her local community she had over 100 orders to fill. As well as feeding her neighbours and raising over £28,000 for Action for M.E., Sonya has used this opportunity to raise awareness of the condition to her community and online.
Our services are seeing a 30% increase in requests for support compared to last year and, as with other viruses in the past, we are anticipating an increase in post-viral fatigue syndrome due to Covid 19. It is therefore so important to continue raising awareness of this debilitating condition that already affects more than 250,000 people in the UK, and raise vital funds to continue offering essential support to those in need.
