Fundraiser of the week: our RideLondon participants

August 28, 2020

“My Dad and I chose a lovely sunny morning last week to ride, taking a nice long loop around the canal and we even threw in a hill or two!” – Josh, Action for M.E. Fundraising Officer and RideLondon participant.

Our fundraiser of the week is everyone who took part in RideLondon over the past two weekends to raise money for Action for M.E.

The event took place following the cancellation of RideLondon’s usual annual cycling festival in London. This alternative fundraiser allowed participants to ride wherever they wanted and choose from a variety of challenges, including the Free Cycle option in which fundraisers rode 1km or further on wheels of their choice. Amy, who took part in the event to support Action for M.E. said:

"I had a fantastic time doing my 19 mile cycle for Action for M.E., with the added bonus of seeing dolphins off Berry Head cliff at the end of my ride! Although challenging at times, it was motivating to know that it is all in aid of a wonderful cause that I am just very honoured to be a very small but hopefully significant part of!"

We’re extremely grateful to those who took part, especially given the relatively short notice of the event. All efforts go a long way to helping Action for M.E. continue our work for the M.E. community.
