Join Josh in taking on the Free Cycle challenge

August 12, 2020

Action for M.E.’s Josh is taking on the RideLondon Free Cycle challenge in support of his brother, who has M.E.

We’re just a few days away from the 2020 My Prudential RideLondon, which you can still sign up for. On 15 and 16 August, people all around the country will be taking on challenges on the wheels of their choice to raise money for good causes. We’re so appreciative of all those who are using the challenge as a means to raise money for Action for M.E., especially in the wake of virtually all events being cancelled this year and the increased demand for our services following the Covid-19 outbreak.

Our very own Fundraising Officer, Josh, is taking part in the RideLondon Free Cycle challenge to raise money for our charity. Josh’s inspiration comes from his brother, Danny, who was diagnosed with M.E. several years ago after he caught a chest infection and never recovered. Josh says of his brother’s illness:

“Danny has always loved sport and spending time with his friends, but for a long time neither of these things were possible. He spent extended periods of time in isolation and in pain, unable to do the things that many of us took for granted whilst growing up, myself included.”

Visit Josh’s fundraising page if you’d like to read Josh’s story and donate to his cause. Sign up on the RideLondon website if you’d like to take part and fundraise for Action for M.E.
